Jeremy Green: Now that is some dellusional talk from the 2nd most dellusional franchise in the NFL. J.B. (Dunmore, PA): Mr. Green: What players do you see as X-Factors in this game? I mentioned in the SportsNation chat yesterday that Bradshaw for the G-Men and Stallworth for the Pats would be my picks. Jeremy Green: For the Giants I would go with Jacobs. She was at work, driving fish to Sylvan Lake for stocking when she spotted the four surfers somewhere not far east of the No Name tunnels. "I just thought they were crazy," she said. "At first I thought they were standing on kayaks, then I was like, 'No way, they'd fall over.'" The region is being pounded by the effects of an intense low pressure system.A total of 46,000 homes were blacked out over the weekend after winds of up to 100km/h blew debris, including trees and outdoor furniture, on to powerlines. About 3,500 homes are still without power in Brisbane's Albany Creek, Bridgeman Downs, and Ashgrove areas. Some 320 homes are still without power in the Gold Coast hinterland, 250 in Bulimba and 100 in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. "This morning we had around about 12,000 out in total, but 9,500 of those were in the Sunshine Coast in the Maroochydore and Sippy Downs areas,'' a spokesman for electricity supplier Energex said.
Ottawa moves to reduce price of drug after cancer patients complain of ...
If the price of the half-century-old drug, which can be made for less than a dime per capsule in a Brazilian government laboratory, are found to have been too high over the past 13 years, governments could receive refunds. Today, one capsule costs about $35. According to E. Richard Gold, a lawyer who specializes in patents, the decision closes a loophole. Since the drug is not licensed by Health Canada and was available only under its special-access program, it avoided price regulation. "This is a loophole, that if it had been followed, other companies with relatively small markets would have followed it and it would have created an inequity in the Canadian system where some drugs are controlled and some aren't," said Dr. Gold, director of the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy at McGill University.
